Mountain Walk and Wade Trip:

This includes, fly rods and flies, lunch and snacks, non-alcoholic refreshments, casting instruction, gear discussion, knots used, reading the water, how to fight a fish on a fly rod, safe wading techniques, you will also be introduced to different fly fishing techniques. Fly Fishing Instruction:

• I also offer fly fishing instruction; this includes casting, discussion about gear, knots and different fly fishing techniques. This can be either dry land casting or I can take you to a river location and practice on moving water, mountain streams are a great place to learn and catch fish at the same time. I will provide fly rods and flies. Pricing on this will vary depending on location and transportation required, but $50/hr is standard, with basic instruction taking between 2 and 3 hours. Another option is a half day float trip; this is a great introduction to fly fishing.

Sightseeing or bird/wildlife watching trips:

• If you’re not into fly fishing and would like to just take in a beautiful float down the bow river this is for you. A large variety of wildlife can be observed from the river, deer, moose, mink, beavers, fishers, bald and golden eagles, osprey, hawks, wild turkey, turkey vultures, king fishers and many others. For those interested in Geology and history this trip will pass by towering cliffs of sandstone and shale, deposited by ancient rivers millions of years ago. Two buffalo jump sites used by the original people of the plains for thousands of years are visible in the banks of the bow river and are best observed from a boat (no relic hunting allowed).

Important Considerations:

• Please think about your trip expectations, maybe your just here to catch fish and don’t need instruction? just learning to fly fish and would like casting instruction?, want to learn how to tie my favorite knots?, want to learn to read the water?, want to learn different fly fishing techniques?, you may want to fish streamers all day for the big one’s? (Bring some of your favorite streamers if you like). Please let me know what your objective for the day is so I can make your trip a success.
